PanCareFollowUp Coordinator Prof. Leontien Kremer (PMC) presented the project’s latest results at the 7th ERN PaedCan General Assembly meeting on 20 May 2021.
‘European Reference Networks’ (ERNs) are a European Union initiative to facilitate cooperation across national health systems for the benefit patients. The ERN PaedCan is tackling ‘inequalities in childhood cancer survival by providing high-quality, accessible and cost-effective cross-border healthcare to children and adolescents with cancer, regardless of where they live.’
European wide implementation of long-term survivorship care, driven by projects like PanCareFollowUp, supports this mission by supporting the delivery of high-quality person-centred care for survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer.
Many PanCareFollowUp partners are also involved in the ERN PaedCan. Stakeholder representatives from SIOP Europe and CCI Europe play key roles and our clinics are network members (KU Leuven/UZ Leuven, IGG, ULUND/Skâne University Hospital).
