PanCareFollowUp partner CCI Europe was represented by Melanie Brunhofer at the RCE-ESMO-ESO Training Course for Rare Cancer Patient Advocates 2019 in Milan. The event brought together rare cancers patient advocates, researchers and oncologists from across Europe to actively participate in brainstorming sessions, debates and workshops to learn how to maximise the impact patient advocacy groups for rare cancers. Melanie spoke about CCI Europe’s contribution to the Joint Action on Rare Cancers and shared opportunities provided by ERN PaedCan, a European Reference Network where CCI Europe participate as a European Patient Advocacy Group. She also gave her perspective on the importance of a powerful campaign.
